If you're still wondering if this course is for you...
Take a moment and imagine giving your body the fuel that it actually needs, rather than constantly putting nutrition on the back burner or trying to get away with the bare minimum.
What do you think would happen? I can tell you what I've witnessed and learned from working with hundreds of athletes at all levels.
- Prioritizing your nutrition will help you feel great during exercise while also improving things like energy levels, sleep, recovery, mood, gut function, and other health markers
- You will likely experience fewer cravings, swings in hunger, struggles to "control yourself" around food, bouts of illness, and injuries
-
You will actually be able to think about something other than food all the time, and instead focus on living and enjoying your life
Sounds pretty awesome, right?
Frequently Asked Questions
This course is for endurance athletes. How do you define that?
An endurance activity is anything longer than 60-90min. If you are doing this on a regular basis - say once a week or more - you will greatly benefit from what I'm teaching in this course.
As for athlete, I call anyone moving their body intentionally through exercise an athlete. If you don't want to define yourself as such, that's totally fine - you still need to take your fueling seriously.
Note: I give many sports specific fueling examples, but mostly focus on road running, trail and ultra running, triathlon, and cycling.
Your course seems to focus mostly on performance nutrition. Do you also cover everyday nutrition?
Yes, I do! Everyday eating is a MASSIVE topic, so I couldn't go too in depth while still comprehensively covering performance nutrition. That said, everyday eating is the foundation for performance nutrition, and we must focus on that as well as the overall health of an athlete before looking at nutrition before, during and after exercise.
You will get a ton of info to get you started with daily nutrition goals and practical strategies:
- Module 1 is completely focused on everyday eating
- Module 3 covers what to eat before exercise in great detail
- Module 4 teaches how to eat for recovery (the meal or snack right after exercise, plus the rest of the day)
- Module 6 addresses how to consume key nutrients through food to prevent and/or treat deficiency
Will I have any access to you in this course to ask questions and get personalized advice?
If you purchase the course on its own, no. This is a self-paced, pre-recorded course without any live sessions or 1:1 access to me. I created this course as a way for people to work with and learn from me at an affordable rate, and that is why I chose this format.
If you'd like to work 1:1 with me, I am offering special services to students of this course only, including a 20-min private Q&A session and a Fueling Plan package (2 x 30min 1:1 sessions), both heavily discounted from my normal rates. These offers are available on my Practice Better booking page.
I also offer Peak Performance as a hybrid course, as part of my small-group coaching program. You can read more about that on my website.
How long is each module and are there any downloads available?
This course is very heavy on education. I did not set out to give you a surface level presentation on each topic. That is why this course, in total, is 8 hours long and has 17 downloads.
Each module varies in length. The shortest module is around 45min and the longest one is nearly 2 hours, split into two parts. Each module has 1-4 downloads, including homework assignments or worksheets and a 3-6 page mini guide containing all the key info, visuals, guidelines and tips from the module, to help you get the most out of the course content.
I want you to be able to be present during each module, rather than feel pressured to take lots of notes.
What if I only want to listen to the course, is that possible?
Yes - as you know I love podcasts and I wanted to make each module available as both video and audio only files. You can't download the modules to protect my content but you can listen to the audio only through Teachable.
Most of the audio makes sense without the visuals, as I explain most of what's on the slides, but please know that I did not separately create audio-only content.
Can I listen or watch part of the course for free?
Yes! This podcast episode offers a free sneak peak of Module 1 - obviously you can't see my slides, but you can hear the content. Please note that I revised / lengthened Module 1 significantly after recording this episode, but this gives you an idea of the types of things I cover.
You can also watch the first section of the Module 1 course video when you check out the course curriculum section above.
Do you have testimonials from prior clients?
This is my first course and I don't have feedback on the course yet, but I do have TONS of testimonials on my website from former 1:1 and group presentation clients, and you can read them all here.
